This week, Prof. John Ioannidis, EXCELScIOR ERA Chair holder and Professor at Stanford University, and Dr. Tracey Weissgerber, from the QUEST Center, Berlin Institute of Health @ Charité, Germany, visited the Multidisciplinary Institute of Ageing (MIA-Portugal) at the University of Coimbra.
They visited the installations of the Institute and had the opportunity to discuss with the Director of the Institute and the Principal Investigators some of their concerns on reliable science, data analysis, meta-research, good research practices, and open science.
MIA-Portugal is a centre of excellence in ageing research, being the first research institute in Southern Europe focused on the molecular and biological basis of ageing and works for the health and wellbeing of an ageing population.
