On June 24, 2025, EXCELScIOR was represented at the Open Science Sunset event in Lisbon through the participation of team member Inês A. T. Almeida. Organized by the Open Science Community Lisboa, this gathering brought together researchers and open science advocates for an end-of-day conversation on fostering transparent and collaborative research practices.
The event featured contributions from Anita Eerland, representing INOSC (International Network of Open Science & Scholarship Communities), as well as members of the Open Science Community Coimbra. The discussions explored how local and international initiatives can support a more open and inclusive research culture.
Held at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, the Open Science Sunset offered a relaxed and engaging space for exchanging ideas, building community, and strengthening the foundations of open science in Portugal and beyond.
